Darker side

Deep within my soul resides

A part of me I try to hide

A darkness that I can't deny

A side of me that's hard to abide


It's like a shadow that follows me

A constant presence that I can't flee

It whispers secrets I dare not share

A part of me that's always there


A Secret of me that's unrefined

The thoughts that I keep confined

The anger, fear, and doubt combined

That I can't seem to leave behind


Matter not how hard you blow

Never will i uncover this snow

Be it my darkest shadow

Cold & black which never glows.


For without the darkness,

I would not know the light,

And though it may cause me distress,

It's also what makes me fight.
